Finally, after a month of training, Ivan decided something. It had taken him two months of training to just barely beat Giovanni, and challenging random, innocent Pokémon wasn't going to get him anywhere. "Come on guys! Let's go straight there! We'll challenge to Elite Four just as we are! And if we don't win... we have the experience!" And so he did. And he lost. But not for one minute did he let that get him down; and after many vigorous trials of challengeing the Elite Four-- seven times, to be exact--he finally defeated Lance and went on the face, and defeat, his rival. And even after that... his adventure continues.

So.... this was drawn about 2 months ago :U 5 days shy, actually. Back when I FINALLY beat Giovanni and went on to train... then I dropped the game because I HATE training XD;;; So after a month, I picked the game back up and beat it after challenging the E4 about six or seven times. ...
Fuck Lance and his Dragonite :\ Aaaaaanyway, after I drew this picture, I.... I forget, but it kinda fell into my pile of WIPs. And now as I'm nearing the end of the school year, I wanna get them done. And this, of course, was the FIRST one my list <3 I'm so proud of how the 'mons came out~ Reaper's a LITTLE too small (he's supposed to be 7 ft. tall) but oh well.
This took... let's see, working on coloring for about three hours last night... about 6 hours in total, and about... maybe an hour and a half to draw the lineart if I remember from when I originally drew it. I'm pretty happy with how this came out <3 I had fun coloring it~
Also... see? See Chuchu? PROOF that Raticates CAN be cute D:< THEY CAN BE! They can be cute and cuddly, and totally badass!!
Now, I'm just gonna write up some info for those who care; if not, description over.
Now, we all know our dear Ivan, our little trainer from Pallet who started out being afraid of his own Pikachu. Now, he's almost 13 and heading off to Johto with a team of his closest friends, and Pokémon, hardly able to wait to see more. He also has a Mewtwo named Mr. Bubbles.
Following right behind him are Bumblebee and Chuchu, his starter Pokémon and the first Pokémon he ever caught. They've been with him from the beginning, encouraging him to go on and be his very best; not *once* has Chuchu left Ivan's side, he's never been in the box nor does Ivan intend to have him there. Chuchu is the reason Ivan became known as "the trainer with the rattata/raticate" since he taught it a plethora of different attacks, making him a very versitial Pokémon. Bee, of course, is always on Ivan's shoulder and is loved by him just as much; Bee is *always* his lead Pokémon, unless necessary.
Rather than Bee and Chuchu competeing for Ivan's affection, they had become fast friends in helping Ivan discover his bravery.
Behind the pair, is Maya, Ivan's Ivysaur. Ivan recieved Maya by chance and instantly clung to him; a Bulbasaur was the 'safest choice' out of the original three starters he *thought* he had to choose from. Maya, once evolving into an Ivysaur, seemed very, very content as such and frowned upon evolution. Ivan's respected his wishes and kept him as an Ivysaur; though, this resulted in the bud on his back becoming quite overgrown with greens, the flower unable to bloom. Maya is a very relaxed and passive Pokémon, but that doesn't mean he won't fight when needed. He is, ironically, very close to Bronx.
Speaking of Bronx, he is Ivan's Charizard. A trainer shoved his Pokéball containing a Charmander in Ivan's hands, saying he didn't want it anymore. Ivan was *terrified* of Charmanders at the time, so needless to say, he had an anxiety attack. Though over time, Ivan grew closer, and raised Bronx to be the very best; he evolved, finally, into a Charizard during his battle with Erika. Poison vines from her Bellsprout had been wrapped around his neck, and the marks stayed. And, due to Ivan teaching Bronx 'Dig' early on, he had grown used to tunneling and didn't use his wings; this resulted in them becoming small and weak. Bronx is *unable* to fly. But he doesn't really care.
Overhead with see Anastasia, an Articuno Ivan was able to catch; she appreciates Ivan's respect for her and listens to him. She's a very calm bird, unlike Vladmir, the Zapdos, Ivan also owns; the only way to ruffle her feathers is to outright insult her or insinulate that you could actually defeat her in battle. She's appalled by the idea of losing. She took Ivan for his very first flight in the air, which Ivan treated as a great honor. (IT's good he did, because if he didn't she would have thrown him off.)
(If you don't know, Ivan's Pokémon and adventures are based off my Yellow gamplay :\ That's why he owns the birds and Mewtwo. Though, I have theories on how he would own them along side others, since I like to poke fun of the continuty of the games, since you could challenge OTHERS that have 'one of a kind' Pokémon.)
And, finally, we have Reaper. Reaper is a *7 foot, 4 1/2 inches tall* Haunter that Ivan caught on the top floor of Pokémon Tower; Ivan caught him out of pure chance (he was mostly trying to find a way to leave and heal his Pokémon....not to mention he already caught other Gastly and Haunter). He was huge, and frightning, yet Ivan caught him and loved him almost instantly. For some reason, Ivan is completely unafraid of Ghost Pokémon. Especially Reaper. He doesn't know why everyone else is! Reaper just wants to give them hugs.
Also, Reaper is the rare Haunter that knows the SUPER SECRET AWESOME PAWNING MOVE 'Eyebrow Wiggle.' If you can't tell, Reaper is the resident Ham of the group.
